Shows Cancelled At Strasbourg's La Laiterie - Include Accept, In Flames, Anathema

Strasbourg's concert venue La Laiterie has announced the cancellation of several upcoming shows, scheduled from 09/10 to 22/10. Those include one of the two French dates of Accept's 2014 tour, one of the French dates of In Flames' 2014 European tour and one of the French dates of Anathema's 2014 European tour. The findings of a recent security inspection pointed out a potential safety hazard in the main concert hall. As a consequence, the city of Strasbourg - the owner - decided to temporarily shut down the place pending its return to compliance with the regulatory requirements.

Jesper Strömblad - Elaborates On Why He Left In Flames

Originally Jesper Strömblad cited recovery from alcoholism as the main reason for leaving popular Swedish band In Flames back in 2010. But the guitarist has now announced on his Facebook page while answering questions from fans that the main reason was that he and the rest of the band saw the band heading in different directions. Indeed it would appear that Jesper would've preferred the band to stay a melodic death metal band as opposed to the more alternative metal/rock approach they have adopted over the last decade or so.

In Flames - New Video Released

After the recent tour news, In Flames give us new music today. So far, the Swedes have revealed their new album's first single "Rusted Nail" and today they premiere a new video for "Through Oblivion". This means you can listen to more new material from the impending Siren Charms. The video for "Through Oblivion" was directed once again by Patric Ullaeus as their previous video. Opeth - Announce Tour With In Flames And Red Fang

Two Swedish heavyweights, Opeth and In Flames, will join forces on a North American co-headlining tour with support from Red Fang. Both Swedish bands have new albums to present. The trek is set to get underway on December 3rd at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, and traverse North America through the end of the month. Are you planning to attend these shows? In Flames - New Album Coming In September

While it appeared yesterday that In Flames' website might have been hacked promising more info today, now it seems like a prank from the band setting up for the album announcement. When you click on the info, you find a short video revealing that the album has been set for release in September and will be titled Siren Charms. The new album was recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin and should come out under Epic Records.

In Flames have entered the next phase of their new album, namely the recording process. The Swedes have just arrived at Hansa Studios in Berlin to record the follow-up to the gold-selling Sounds Of A Playground Fading from 2011. The recording of the band's eleventh album will continue throughout the year, and in the spring of 2014, we will have the chance to hear the result of their hard work.

In Flames - Announce US Headlining Tour

After the North American tour supporting Lamb Of God, In Flames will trek across America once again, this time as headliners on their Another Year Another Tour in 2013. The tour kicks off on February 2nd in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Demon Hunter, All Shall Perish, and Battlecross will provide support. The dates of the first part of the tour can be seen below.
